Ethics and Sustainability in Accounting

This course explores the ethical, sustainable, and societal dimensions of accounting at individual, organizational, and societal levels. Students will study aspects such as accounting ethics, corporate social responsibility, the influence of accounting on social structures, and their role in exacerbating or mitigating issues like inequality and sustainability. From scrutinizing the CPA Professional Code of Conduct to investigating ethical investing and climate change, the course equips future accountants to maintain integrity and responsibility in their professional roles.
