With a focus on great scripts from a variety of media, each year the course examines how writing in a specific genre enables artists to define and shape their identities within social and cultural contexts. Students will study the genre in depth as it manifests in television, radio and digital media. Areas of study will include the genre's evolution and conventions, sub-genres, and parody.
