Inorganic Chemistry II
An introduction to the coordination chemistry of the transition metals. Topics include structure and bonding, electronic spectroscopy, reaction mechanisms, organometallic chemistry and bioinorganic chemistry. The laboratory will consist of the preparation and spectroscopic characterization of various transition metal complexes.
