Introduction to Art History
This is an introductory survey of art and architecture from ancient cultures to the present. Art will be examined against the background of the particular historical, cultural and social contexts that have shaped it, and as manifestations of the human need for expression. Students will be introduced to some of the reasons for historic changes in the form, content and production of art.
