While ADTs have the potential to provide efficient, personalized services to immigrants, they may also inadvertently reduce their social interactions with the broader community during their settlement period.

Objective
This project explores whether Advanced Digital Technologies (ADTs) will change the relationship between immigrants and local populations in terms of integration, perceptions, and social interactions. More specifically, this project will evaluate the acquisition of core language skills and soft skills acquired through online and traditional training programs.

Research question(s)
- What are the consequences of delivering integration services using ADTs on immigrants' settlement outcomes and on their subjective experiences in Canada?

Methodology
This project will implement qualitative methods including surveys and interviews.

Status
This project is active and research is currently ongoing.
Expected completion date: August 2026
