Sarah Barnett is a Master’s student in the Immigration and Settlement Studies program at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her Master’s research explores the impacts of transit oriented development on migrant communities with a specific focus on the TTC’s Ontario Line.

Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts: Honours in International Development Studies and Social Anthropology from Dalhousie University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. During her time in law school, Sarah volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada, was a member of the research committee at the University of Ottawa chapter of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers, and contributed to a privately sponsored refugee application. Sarah is a licensed lawyer in Ontario.
