Leny Rose Simbre

Leny Rose Simbre is a professional with expertise in community and migrant justice, focusing on migrant care work, social movements, international students, temporary labor migration, and participatory and socially engaged work. She graduated with a BA Honours in Human Rights and Equity Studies from York University. Leny worked as a Research Project Coordinator at the York University Centre for Asian Research and is now pursuing her MA at Toronto Metropolitan University. Currently, she is contributing a chapter to the "Handbook on Migration, Mobility, and Care" alongside Dr. Ethel Tungohan and Dr. Jessica Ticar, and has been a regular contributor to The Philippine Reporter, an online and print media outlet based in Toronto.
