
Kristina Tsvygun
Kristina Tsvygun holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Toronto Metropolitan University, where she is currently pursuing a Master of Nursing with a focus on Leadership in Health Care Policy and Education. Kristina began her nursing career as a Critical Care Nurse at North York General Hospital, where she is a member of the CrCU People-Centred Committee, the Wellness Committee, and serves as co-chair of the Nursing Practice Council. In this role, she developed and led a Nursing Peer Support Program aimed at promoting staff retention amid current nursing shortages.
Kristina is also an executive member of the RNAO Nursing Research Interest Group, responsible for managing their social media. She is actively involved in research, having co-authored several manuscripts and prepared abstracts for various conferences. Her particular research interest is in Immigrant Health and Healthcare Accessibility. She is currently engaged in research projects targeting Ukrainian asylum seekers in Ontario, with the goal of increasing their healthcare accessibility and promoting their well-being.
