Azardokht Bigdeli

Azardokht Bigdeli is a Master’s student in the Immigration and Settlement Studies program at Toronto Metropolitan University.  She received a BA in Psychology from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran.

Azardokht academic journey began with a focus on social psychology and organizational behavior as she conducted research and engaged in projects aimed at understanding human behavior within organizational contexts. Her interest in supporting refugees in her home country of Iran deepened through volunteer work and personal interactions. After immigrating to Canada in 2022, Azardokht worked as a research assistant on immigration projects and was exposed to the intricacies of immigration policies, settlement challenges, and the diverse needs of newcomers in Canada, further fuelling her interest in the field.
