Jessica Jung is the Interim Events and Operations Administrator for Bridging Divides as well as at the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Migration and Integration (CERC Migration) at Toronto Metropolitan University TMU). Previously, Jessica was a research assistant on the Beyond the Metropolis project at CERC Migration and the research coordinator for the Toronto Metropolitan Centre for Immigration and Settlement. She graduated from the Master's program in Immigration and Settlement Studies at TMU. During her Masters, Jessica focused on sanctuary city policies and practices in mid-sized cities in Ontario. She received an HBA from the University of Toronto with a major in Diaspora and Transnational Studies and minors in Linguistics and Canadian Studies. Jessica is interested in the challenges of newcomer settlement and integration in small and mid-sized cities in Canada and is passionate about fostering community and a sense of belonging in demographically homogeneous spaces.
