
Claire Adida
Claire Adida is Professor of Political Science at University of California San Diego and Faculty Affiliate with the UC Institute on Global Conflict and Cooperation (IGCC), the Center for Effective Global Action (CEGA), the Stanford Immigration Policy Lab (IPL) and the Evidence in Governance and Politics group (EGAP). She has published two books on migrant inclusion and integration, the first on Immigrant Exclusion and Insecurity in Africa (CUP 2014) and the second on Why Muslim Integration Fails in Christian-Heritage Societies (HUP 2016). Her work also appears in top peer-reviewed political science and general science journals such as the American Political Science Review and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. She has also served as research advisor to the Director of the Office of Refugee Resettlement, Department of Health & Human Services, United States Government (2021-2022). Her most recent work explores if and how empathy narratives increase inclusionary behavior toward refugees.
