Mohammad Badawy He/Him

Mohammad Badawy is an international student originally from Kenya. His proudest accomplishment has been co-founding the Black Business Students' Association (BBSA) with TMU alum Edmund Sofo. Throughout the past two years Nya-Martin Hemming (co-president & founding member) and Mohammad built the group from the ground up. In their ten years, they were able to provide vast opportunities for Black students throughout the university through employment opportunities, professional development events and creating a platform to build leadership experience. Mohammad’s work has been recognized at the university and external committees. He was awarded the faculty-wide Dennis Mock Student Leadership Award and the BBSA was awarded the best subsidiary group by the Canadian Association of Business Societies.
