What does it mean to be a Black Ryerson grad?
It means a lot to me when considering the importance of black representation in higher education. Being in an engineering field specifically, there are very few black students and I have always felt obligated to hold myself to a high standard and represent the black community the best I could.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
I hope to land a career in my field of environmental engineering where I may continue to learn about the current and future issues surrounding environmental innovations. I am looking towards a career that specializes in either water distribution or water treatment.
What advice do you have for other Black Ryerson students?
My advice to Black Ryerson Students is to always stay humble and keep a level head throughout your academics. The journey towards success is going to have a lot of ups and downs and keeping calm through it all has always led me to positive outcomes.
