Sled Dogs film screening

Sled Dogs is a first documentary to explore a truth about the dog sledding industry while posing the question: “Is the abuse seen against “man’s best friend” disguised as entertainment?" The film takes a closer look at the Alaska, Colorado, British Columbia, and Ontario sled dog industries including legendary Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, raising allegations of animal cruelty among breeders, trainers and kennelers of the events’ sled dogs.

Join us for a film screening followed by a Q & A with documentary director Fern Levitt

The event is moderated by Prof. Stephen Muzzatti and hosted by the department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, Ryerson University.

This venue is fully wheelchair accessible. Please contact accessibility@torontomu.ca if you require any accessibility accommodations to ensure your full participation.
