Annual democracy summit goes virtual

The summit will convene in 2 parts, the DemocracyXChange Summit (Oct 13–15) and a week-long DemocracyXChange Festival (Oct 16–22).
2020 has proven that our democracy is not guaranteed. As our communities, cities and democratic institutions work to recover from the global pandemic, everyone will have a role to play in rising to this global moment.
DemocracyXChange (external link, opens in new window) is the go-to annual Summit for Canada’s emerging democracy sector to connect, learn and share. This year, the DemocracyXChange Summit will convene virtually in two parts from October 13th to 22nd bringing together community leaders, scholars, and leading thinkers for a multi-platform experience. The 3-day Summit program will include keynote speakers, expert panels, facilitated breakout rooms, and artistic events that will discuss pressing challenges facing our democracy today. In the week following the Summit, participants will have the opportunity to further activate their learnings during the DemocracyXChange Festival, featuring online workshops, speakers, and events by community organizations from across Canada and beyond. A ticket to DemocracyXChange includes all Summit and Festival activities with additional events, content and subscriptions open only to ticket holders for $149 (regular) or $49 (student, underwage and senior).
Let’s build change from the ground up at DemocracyXChange 2020.
