William and Catharina Birchall

The Birchalls are outstanding business leaders, generous philanthropists, exemplary citizens, and engaged members of the Ryerson University community.

They are tireless champions of our students, providing them with opportunities to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. They have served as volunteers and advisors on Ryerson University’s Campaign Cabinet, passionate advocates of co-operative education opportunities, and are always willing to introduce students to business leaders, allowing them to connect with industry experts and expand their networks. William has also served as honorary president and chair of the Ryerson University Commerce Society Advisory Committee, and is involved with several Ted Rogers School of Management committees, where he shares his knowledge of finance, management, mining and international business.
