The Honourable Vim Kochhar

The Honourable Vim Kochhar is no stranger to volunteerism.

A longtime advocate for Canadians with disabilities, he took the lead on a special charity run to support scholarships for students with disabilities at Ryerson University. Racing in the Achilles 18th Annual St. Patrick’s Day 5k Run/Walk in the heart of downtown Toronto, Vim raised more than $50,000 to create a new award. As chair of the Canadian Foundation for Physically Disabled Persons, Vim also facilitated a gift to Ryerson from the Foundation to create a new $50,000 endowed award to support students studying Disability Studies in the Faculty of Community Services.
