Victor Garcia
Victor Garcia has lent his time and expertise for the past 35 years to help non-profit organizations with programs focused on job-creation, innovation, mentoring, and more. Much of his work has focused on building strategic partnerships for the Hispanic community in Canada. Together with Mauricio Ospina, Victor led a campaign for Hispanic students, raising $110,000 for new awards at Ryerson. The Hispanic/ Latino Student Awards, first awarded in March 2017, improve access to post-secondary education, entrepreneurship, mentorship and career guidance, and provide crucial support to students in financial need. We applaud Victor for his unfailing dedication to fundraising for these awards, and for choosing Ryerson as the place to make it happen.
