Tom Birchall

Business Administration ’73

Tom Birchall’s service to Ryerson began as the student representative on the Academic Council in 1972, where he helped approve the course outline for the first degree granted at Ryerson. Tom reconnected with Ryerson in 2011 as the alumni ambassador in Nova Scotia. In 2012, he joined the Ryerson University Alumni Association (RUAA) Board of Directors, eventually becoming chief parliamentarian and secretary, a role he held for five years. Tom’s counsel was instrumental in the evolution of the RUAA board into an Alumni Council.
