Theresa Ebden
Journalism ’98
In 2014, Theresa Ebden spearheaded a major initiative at her alma mater. She collaborated with faculty and the Ryerson recruitment team to develop a new strategy for the Ryerson School of Journalism. Leveraging skills from her careers in business journalism and corporate communications, Theresa surveyed hundreds of alumni and researched the industry to understand the long term value and impact of a Bachelor of Journalism degree. That knowledge shaped her proposal for a campaign that wowed the school, leading to the immediate adoption of Count on Journalism, a new recruitment approach within the school. Today, Theresa is an enthusiastic, committed volunteer, serving as chair on the school’s Advisory Council.
