Rick Findlay

Mechanical and Industrial Engineering ’82

In 2014, Rick Findlay came on board as one of the first community coaches in the SocialVentures Zone, an incubator at Ryerson where students and alumni develop ideas for social change into sustainable and viable initiatives. He has worked with more than a dozen zone ventures over the past three years, and provided connections to his network and invaluable advice to young entrepreneurs working in the space. Despite his busy schedule, Rick often drops in at the SVZ to help entrepreneurs with only a moment’s notice. He consistently brings them his experienced and quality insight, and shares their enthusiasm for social and environmental change.
