Lawrence S. Bloomberg, C.M., O.Ont.

Canadian philanthropist and business leader Lawrence Bloomberg served two terms as chancellor of Ryerson. From 2012 to 2018 he shared his business experience and passion for education with students, faculty and staff of the Ryerson community. He has acted as Ryerson’s ambassador on local, national and international stages, and presided over all convocations to confer university degrees and welcome new graduates. His support for Ryerson’s research, education, innovation and entrepreneurship has helped to shape the university’s city-building agenda.
