Dr. Pamela Appelt

A retired judge of the Court of Canadian Citizenship, Dr. Pamela Appelt has been the patron of TMU’s Viola Desmond Awards since 2017. A strong ally of the university’s Equity and Community Inclusion team, Pamela has lent her name to raising awareness and funds for the annual awards which celebrate the achievements of Black women in Canada. Her continued support helps provide access to education for deserving women from across the country.
