Founder and Director of Social Workers Beyond Borders, UN Policy Officer and Consultant
Stephanie Asare Nti is the founder and director of Social Workers Beyond Borders (SWBB), an international non-governmental organization that deploys volunteer social work students and professionals to provide direct services to communities in crisis in developing countries. SWBB collaborates with universities, United Nations agencies, humanitarian organizations, governmental organizations and faith-based organizations with a commitment to contribute to the UN Millennium Development Goals, through its work at the country level. Stephanie has distinguished herself as an advocate for the psychosocial well-being of children and families, both as a child protection specialist providing direct services, and while working for UNICEF in the policy realm to address the needs of children orphaned and made vulnerable by HIV/AIDS, violence and exploitation.
