Editor-in-chief with Canadian Press
Scott White dedicated his career to The Canadian Press (CP), most recently as editor-in-chief, in which capacity he oversees editorial operations of the English service for Canada’s national news operations, including print, audio, video and online content. He is credited for establishing a culture of innovation and new partnerships at CP that have been central to its role as a major news resource. During his tenure, CP has won the Michener Award for meritorious public service journalism, 10 National Newspaper Awards and the Canadian Journalism Foundation Award of Excellence. He has served as a member of the International Olympic Committee Press Commission as well as Chair of the National Newspaper Awards, and participated as a guest speaker in the Master of Journalism program at Ryerson.
