Nicole Winstanley is president and publisher of Penguin Canada and publishing director of the boutique literary imprint Hamish Hamilton. Her list includes books by Philip Roth, Stieg Larsson, Joseph Boyden, Khaled Hosseini, Zadie Smith, Guy Gavriel Kay, Johanna Skibsrud, John le Carré, Tash Aw, Vikram Seth, Michael Winter, and Helen Oyeyemi. Authors on her list have won numerous awards, including the Nobel Prize, the Booker Prize, the Giller Prize, and the Commonwealth Prize. Before joining Penguin, she was rights director at Westwood Creative Artists, Canada’s largest literary agency. Nicole graduated from the Ryerson program in 2000.
