A Toronto-based actor and playwright, Lisa Codrington counts three seasons at the Shaw Festival as well as plays in Colombia and the United Kingdom among her acting credits. Nominated for the inaugural Toronto Arts Council Foundation’s Emerging Artist Award, Ms. Codrington has appeared in Defenestration in Colombia, da kink in my hair in the UK, A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Resurgence Theatre Company and Binti's Journey with Theatre Direct and MTYP, which was nominated for a Dora Award. Her writing has been published by Playwrights Canada Press, McGraw-Hill Ryerson and the Canadian Theatre Review. A former playwright-in-residence at Theatre Direct, Canadian Stage Company, Nightwood Theatre and the Blyth Festival, her writing credits include Cast Iron, nominated for a Governor General’s Award.
