In our recent TMU alumni survey, alumni indicated that connecting with others and learning new skills were important career priorities. In response, Alumni Relations is excited to partner with TMU’s Career, Co-op and Student Success Centre for an evening of professional development and networking.
Building relationships — especially ones that can lead to a job — takes time. On December 5, join fellow alumni for a 45-minute workshop focused on building your professional community on LinkedIn, followed by an in-person networking reception.
During the evening, you will:
- Obtain practical advice about building your professional community.
- Learn how to use the LinkedIn platform to establish new connections.
- Identify effective strategies and techniques for growing and nurturing new and pre-existing professional relationships.
- Meet alumni from a variety of industries and experience levels.

Ken Lee is a Career Education Specialist with the Career, Co-op & Student Success Centre, Toronto Metropolitan University where he designs and delivers high impact programming that equips students for careers in a rapidly evolving world. Prior to his journey in higher education, Ken worked in the non-profit sector. His particular focus was guiding individuals in discovering creative ways to achieve their career goals while finding fulfillment, satisfaction and balance in their lives. The developer in him lives to watch the people in his life grow, succeed, and turn their dreams into reality.
