Overall, my experience in the SAF program at TRSM, thus far, has been great. I have gained in depth exposure to both accounting and finance in the first two years of my study. The curriculum is challenging and competitive which helps to build critical and analytical skills that are necessary to succeed in the industry. The financial modelling courses that I have taken have advanced my excel skills - it is by far my favourite course in the program. I would recommend this program to anyone who is interested in pursuing a career related to accounting and finance because there are so many opportunities to network and explore your potential as a professional. 

This year, I got the opportunity to serve as the president of the Toronto Metropolitan University Finance Society (RUFS). In this role, I started the CFA mock exam, alumni mentorship program, SAF case competition and helped with the establishment of a collaboration with the SAF Advisory Council. I am thankful for the ongoing support from SAF and TRSM, in which it provides such a positive and supportive environment for student leadership involvement on campus. Extra-curriculars have play a major role throughout my student experience – where it has contributed to the development of professional skills such as communication, leadership and team work. I am excited to start my final year as the incoming SAF director on the TRSS executive board and to embark on a new journey into the business world with the help of SAF.
