Bethlehem Ogbe
Class of 2018 - Accounting Co-op Major

Hello, my name is Bethlehem Ogbe and I am a fourth-year Accounting Student in the School of Accounting and Finance (SAF) at Toronto Metropolitan University. My goal post-graduation is to get my CPA designation and eventually work in Audit or Tax.

In 2014, Toronto Met introduced a co-op option for the SAF program where selected students can gain vital work experience while obtaining their undergraduate degree. I was fortunate enough to be selected for the Co-op Program, where I have secured two Public Sector Co-op placements; one at the Canada Revenue Agency as an Income Tax Auditor and as a Financial Control Analyst for the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services (MGCS). Through these placements, I was able to apply concepts taught in the classroom to the professional world.

With the excellent education provided and the introduction of the Co-op program, Toronto Met's SAF program is creating high performing students who are ready to take on the corporate world.
