I’m proud to say that I am a member of Toronto Metropolitan University and the School of Accounting & Finance. The program has opened up many great opportunities for me. Being a part of the Co-Operative Education program has enabled me to gain valuable work experience, while I work towards completing my degree.
One of the most amazing aspects of being at Toronto Met is the sense of community you feel as a student. Feeling welcomed and encouraged to do my best has made Toronto Met feel like a second home to me. There is a sense of unity and cohesion between your fellow peers and professors. The SAF program in particular allows for an environment where you are able to make lasting connections with the people around you. With the smaller sized classrooms, I was able to interact more closely with my peers and professors. Many of the people who I met in my first semester have become to be some of my closest friends. The professors are always going the extra mile for the students. It could be staying behind after class to explain something you didn’t understand, or booking an appointment with you outside of their usual office hours to accommodate your schedule. They always ensure that you’re learning and getting the most out of your education. I know that if I ever need help or guidance Toronto Met has the resources available to assist me, which is an amazing feeling to have with your university. After graduating from Toronto Met I plan to pursue my CPA designation and become a Chartered Professional Accountant.
