Perfecto Jr. Villalba

Currently pursuing a Finance major, I have also studied three foreign languages during my time at Ryerson (Now Toronto Metropolitan University): Spanish, French and Arabic. My goal is to one day be a powerful player in the field of international business. In addition to having attained the highest cumulative CGPA in the School of Accounting & Finance in the 2013/2014 academic year, my extracurricular involvement has been diverse. I participated in the Toronto Metropolitan University Finance Society (RUFS) Internal Case Competition in March 2015, and my team placed first. During my third year I was an associate in the RUFS Internal Case Competition Department, as well as the Vice President of Events in Toronto Met's Corporate Social Responsibility Student Association (CSRSA). I participated in Toronto Met’s flagship intervarsity finance case competition, Battle on Bay, in January 2017. I am a member of the Top 200 leadership program. Outside of school, I enjoy drawing, reading about history, playing guitar, and writing poetry in English and Spanish. I have completed two co-op terms, my first as an Industry & Key Account Planner at ATS Automation, and my second as a Financial Reporting Administrator at State Street Trust Company Canada.
There are many reasons why Toronto Metropolitan University stands out. Among them, of course, are all the teachers and staff who are always willing to go above and beyond to give students the most out of their education. In addition, there are many diligent students who unselfishly work hard to create and manage diverse student groups and programs for the benefit and enjoyment of the university as a whole. Such a warm, close-knit, and involved community is indispensable to the success of any organization, whether educational or entrepreneurial, and everyone within it. As such, I have no doubt that, going through Toronto Met, I am on the right path to fulfilling my dreams.
