My family immigrated to Canada three years ago, from the Republic of Moldova. Even before coming to Canada, I had a clear understanding that personal education is the best investment that would eventually pay-off in the future. After doing some research, and looking for an appropriate educational institution in Canada, I came up with a list of several options. At that time, in 2013, Toronto Metropolitan University was my number one priority, mainly because of the great geographical location in downtown Toronto, modern buildings, and the newly introduced Accounting & Finance Program. Choosing to pursue the new program was challenging, and at the same time, somewhat intimidating, because at that time, everyone only had predictions and expectations about the success of the program.
Approaching my graduation in April 2017, and majoring in Accounting, I can definitely say that choosing to enroll in Toronto Metropolitan University was the best decision I have ever made, because Toronto Metropolitan University, and the School of Accounting & Finance in particular, is not only about its excellent geographical location, but about the knowledgeable and sophisticated professors who have an individual approach toward every student. Also, it is about team-play and mastering time management skills, leadership and responsibility, compromise and a professional approach to everything. In addition, Toronto Metropolitan University offers a great deal of off-campus and on-campus opportunities, which are extremely valuable and helpful for various students' experiences. The best part of all the above-mentioned advantages is the range of offered courses, which will prepare me to easily pass the CPA exams and obtain the CPA designation.
