Overview
Edward Blinder has taught finance at Toronto Metropolitan University (Formerly Ryerson University) for over 30 years. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from IE Business School in Madrid, as well as multiple graduate degrees in Economics, Finance, Industrial Engineering and Research Methods. He has taught finance, economics, and quantitative methods at the university level for 40 years, in four countries and in three languages. Edward is a former member of the East-West Enterprise Exchange involved in the corporate restructuring of privatized corporations in the former Soviet Union, and he has taught executive development courses in corporate finance, the stock market, and corporate governance at the Schulich School of Business. He specializes in large macroeconomic modeling and forecasting and is a former senior economist who forecasted for WEFA Canada (Global Insight) and the Ontario Ministry of Tourism. His private consulting practices include modeling, forecasting and analysis using large data sets from around the world, as well as work in the field of microstructure of capital markets, as a part of involvement in the restructuring of the Toronto Stock Exchange, among others.
