Dr. Guoping Liu
Overview
Dr. Guoping Liu is a Professor of Accounting at the Ted Rogers School of Management. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from University of Waterloo. Her research interests include corporate governance, accounting standards, auditing, and international accounting. She has published over 20 research papers in peer-reviewed academic journals including Journal of Banking & Finance, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Accounting & Public Policy, Behavioral Research in Accounting, Journal of International Accounting Research, Accounting and Finance, Journal of Contemporary Accounting & Economics, Global Finance Journal, International Journal of Managerial Finance, Journal of International Accounting, Auditing & Taxation, Managerial Auditing Journal, Quarterly Review of Economics & Finance, Managerial Finance, and Accounting Perspectives. Dr. Liu has taught core financial accounting and managerial accounting courses to date. She has received the TRSM Research Recognition Award in 2021, the TRSM Teaching Innovation Award in 2021, and the Ryerson University Faculty Scholarly, Research and Creative Activity Award in 2012.
