Wayne McFarlane

Distinguished Professional Advisor Emeritus, Ted Rogers School of Management

Wayne McFarlane has been a Career Development Executive-in-Residence for the Ted Rogers School of Management, working with undergraduate and graduate students. As a retired former Human Capital Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada, he consulted globally and domestically on a broad range of Human Capital issues, working in several principal cities around the world.

He has been quoted and featured in several articles in the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star, as well as other media sources. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, from the University of Guelph, and is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. He is also a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario.

He was a board member of Inroads, a Toronto based firm that is the nation’s largest not for profit source of paid internships for undergraduate diverse youth. He has also been on several other not for profit boards and is currently interested in philanthropic efforts in the health care industry. He is working to develop the Community Family Health Centres, based in Meaford and Thornbury, where he has a weekend home. He is also interested in helping with philanthropic efforts for Toronto Metropolitan University.

At the Ted Rogers School of Management, Wayne coaches students on their interpersonal skills, helps them define their goals, assess opportunities, and refine their skills, and introduces them to job opportunities with the Greater Toronto Area’s most prestigious businesses and government departments.

The Dean's Circle is a group reserved for select Ted Rogers School of Management friends and business leaders. It is a donor-supported fund set up to help Ted Rogers School students. One hundred percent of donations to the Dean's Circle go directly to providing financial assistance for students at our school who need it most.
