Richard is Vice President, Operations at CIBC Mellon. He is also a member of the company’s executive management committee.

Mr. Anton has overall responsibility for the direction of the Operations area of the company including client and advisor services, institutional and pension accounting, custody operations, business initiatives and support, cash management, reconciliation and compliance, and pension benefits.

Mr. Anton has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, focused primarily on operations and relationship management. Prior to joining CIBC Mellon, Mr. Anton served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for State Street Cayman Trust Company and State Street Alternative Investments (Toronto), where Mr. Anton oversaw trustee, accounting, custody and administration services for offshore funds and other collective investment vehicles. Mr. Anton’s additional responsibilities included client relationship management and aligning the division’s strategic objectives with product development.

Mr. Anton has a bachelor of commerce degree from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University).
