Massimo Ceschia - '94

Massimo is a proud alumnus of Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) where he received a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1994; and was a 4-year varsity swim team member.
 
Massimo Ceschia is the Chief Financial Officer at Scotia Capital Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Scotiabank.
 
Massimo is responsible for all CFO duties including providing effective financial, accounting and regulatory oversight; internal controls; and compliance with regulatory, statutory and tax requirements. Massimo’s over 25 years of experience in the Canadian broker-dealer industry has allowed him to gather extensive knowledge of the investment industry, including Board of Director’s functions such as stewardship, duty of care, fiduciary and supervisory oversight of business operations.
 
Massimo is currently a member of various Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada committees including the Finance & Operations Advisory Section Executive Committee.  Recently Massimo was a Director and Officer of various publically listed TSX funds administered by Scotia Managed Companies Administration Inc. Massimo is also a Director and Officer of other Scotiabank subsidiaries involved in capital markets.
