Public Budget Policy/Politics
This course examines the administrative challenges that surround public sector budgetary processes. Key policy theories will be examined at all levels of government, as will the roles of relevant political and bureaucratic players. The rigours of accountability will be scrutinized. Other topics may include ethics, procurement, taxation and debt. Practical exercises in analyzing budgetary information relevant to public and parapublic organizations will be included.(Formerly PPA 600).
