Pathway Programs

Designed for students exiting high school who meet the academic requirements but have not met the minimum English proficiency requirements to study at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU).

ESL Foundation Program Pathways

  • Successful completion allows you to join any of our 60+ undergraduate degree programs with up to three degree-credit courses on your transcript.
  • Immerse yourself in a supportive environment focused on integrated English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Purpose (ESP) with 25 hours of instruction per week.
  • Tuition includes up to two university degree-credit courses which can be applied to your undergraduate program. You can take one additional degree-credit course at an extra cost.

 

English Boost Pathways

  • Successful completion allows you to join any of our 60+ undergraduate degree programs.
  • Build your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills in an accelerated time frame (30 hours of instruction per week).
  • Tuition is lower as there is no option to receive undergraduate degree credits.

Spring and Summer Immersion Programs

Designed for international school guidance counsellors and education agencies looking to organize a group of students to improve their English language skills while being immersed in the heart of downtown Toronto.

Immersive Language Program

This is a short-term option for groups of students (ages 13+) looking for specialized English language teachings that are both theoretical and practical. Offered over the spring and summer, students will see improvements in fundamental English skills while being immersed in the heart of downtown Toronto.
